There is no day of the week that I love better than Sunday. I know some  people don’t like Sunday because it’s a finale to a weekend and a start of the dreaded Monday! 

For me, it is a day that celebrates freedom, food, family and fun! The day goes so fast that I make sure I always wake up early to enjoy it full time! 

So one fine morning, we woke up early to have breakfast at Rustic Mornings by Isabelo in Marikina.

Rustic Mornings is an all-day breakfast place. Owner Portia Baluyut’s passion for cooking and her love for her grandmother’s recipes made her dream come true by opening up her own restaurant.

The owner, Portia, has a show on Lifestyle Network called “A Pinch Of Portia.” It is a slice of her life, a sampling of good, comfort food and a dash of her cooking secrets. It premiered last June 2014.
